PHARMACOVIGILANCE AND DRUGS SAFETY
ACS Dobfar S.p.A. continues to monitor the safety of medicinal products even once they have been placed on the market, through the Pharmacovigilance activity, which is the science that identifies, evaluates, understands and prevents any type of safety problem that may occur following the use of a drug, to assure the safety of patients and to guarantee high standards of quality of ACS Dobfar S.p.A. medicinal products.
All possible information about any problem identified as a possible adverse event and resulting from the use of a drug produced or marketed by ACS Dobfar, are collected through safety reports (spontaneous reports, literature reports, etc.).
The safety reports can be transmitted by healthcare operators (physicians, nurses, pharmacists) and by the patients themselves both to the Competent Authorities and to the Marketing Company. The aim of the pharmacovigilance is the safety of patients.
FARMACOVIGILANZA E SICUREZZA DEI FARMACI
ACS Dobfar S.p.A. continua a monitorare la sicurezza dei medicinali anche successivamente all’immissione in commercio attraverso lo strumento della Farmacovigilanza, che consiste nell’insieme delle attività finalizzate all’identificazione, valutazione, comprensione e prevenzione degli effetti avversi o di qualsiasi altro problema correlato all’uso dei medicinali, per assicurare la tutela della salute pubblica e garantire i più alti standard di qualità e sicurezza dei prodotti di ACS Dobfar S.p.A.
La Farmacovigilanza raccoglie (attraverso segnalazioni spontanee, letteratura, ecc.) tutte le possibili informazioni su problematiche derivanti dall’utilizzo di un farmaco, identificate come sospette reazioni avverse.
Le segnalazioni possono essere fatte, oltre che all’Autorità Sanitaria competente, anche all’Azienda, sia dagli operatori sanitari (medici, farmacisti, infermieri), sia dai pazienti (o da chi per essi). Operatori sanitari e pazienti sono parte integrante di questo sistema di monitoraggio. Lo scopo della farmacovigilanza è proteggere la salute e la sicurezza dei pazienti.
