and surveyed what you, the customer, need and want. The result is a high-tech, easy-to-use,
universal Injectable Delivery System ideal for prescription compounding.

Composition - Two sterile bags
- Inner Bag - In direct contact with drug product, made of polymer to maximize shelf life
- Outer Bag - Protects the inner bag from light, moisture, and oxidation
Features
- The external surface of the first bag is sterile and particle free. The sterility of this surface allows an easy handling area and Clearoom operations. The particle free quality allows to put the product into Cleanroom without contaminating the cleanroom itself.
- One of the best features of SmartPak® is that the internal surface of the low density polyethylene bag, that is in touch with the product, never comes in contact with the environment before being in Cleanroom under laminar flow. This way it is avoided every risk of contaminating the inner side of the immediate container.
BAG FILLING
- To produce the SmartPak® inner bag, it is cut in its shape directly from the spool and sealed during the same process.
- The bag has two holes to be used as hangers during the syringes filling.
- The double ports at the bottom of the bag is sealed. This port is used for powder dissolution and solution withdraw.
The first bag of SmartPak® is filled under laminar flow with the needed quantity of product,
at ACS DOBFAR s.p.a., through the opening at the top of the bag, which is then sealed.
The minimum quantity of powder can be 50 grm. After labelling, the first bag is placed into
the second bag, and then sealed.
The product, after approval, can be shipped directly to the Compounding Center or to the Hospital Pharmacy.

PROCEDURE
- Remove the outer bag
- Attach SmartPak® to any peristaltic pump by a spiked tube
- Add the appropriate diluent
(process takes 10-15 minutes depending on product)
- Recirculate until complete solution is achieved
- Set pump for syringe or cassette filling and reverse flow
- Under laminar flow and using aseptic technique, fill syringes, minibags or cassettes
- Seal, label and stare
In the Coumpounding Center, the filled syringes, containing one-day need dose of product, can be immediately frozen at -40°C.
Reconstitution and Syringe Filling Operations are performed by one only operation, in Class 10,000 room with LAF unit.
SmartPak® is Compatible With All Commercially Available Pumps, Syringe Infusion Tubing Sets and Syringes.
